Greater Things: Dream Big, Do More.Sample

WEATHERING THE STORM
In Mark 4, Jesus’ disciples had a problem. They were stuck in a boat. At night. On a huge lake. In the middle of a storm. Fun, right?
Jesus apparently didn’t mind. While howling winds and massive waves threatened to sink the boat, He was sound asleep! He didn’t get much rest, though; the disciples quickly woke Him and asked whether He even cared if they drowned.
That’s a pretty passive-aggressive way to ask for help. But Jesus woke up anyway and, with just a few words, calmed the wind and waves.
Jesus’ power didn’t just help Him stop a storm, it also gave Him the confidence to keep His cool. And 2 Timothy 1:7 makes it clear that’s not exclusive to Jesus: God gives us that power and confidence too!
Your storms might look different — like facing the first day at a new school or trying to talk to parents who don’t seem to understand. But with God, you have the power to step into any situation and weather the storm.
Ask yourself: What’s one way I can show Jesus’ power and confidence this week? How can knowing God’s power is in me help me keep calm in the middle of my storms?

About this Plan

Jesus did incredible works during His time on earth. And before He left, He said we would do even greater things after He was gone. That’s a huge promise coming from the One who walked on water and healed the blind. But with God, we have the power to change the world — and we can expect Him to have greater things in store for us!
