No matter what you've gone through, one thing is true for all of us — we all know what it's like to miss someone. That can be someone we've lost, or simply experiencing FOMO as we watch our friends' stories online while we stay in for the night. Having that sense of missing someone we care about makes us realize what it means to be apart — or separated — from that sense of belonging.
Sometimes we can feel that way about God. Maybe you were starting to feel close to God, or even know what it felt like to be loved by God for the first time, and then you made a choice you weren't proud of. Suddenly, you find yourself asking, "Am I still able to connect with God? Nothing is the way I thought it would be. Is God still with me?"
The choices we make can remind us just how much God values us, even when they aren't the right ones. That's because nothing can separate us from God's love. Jesus brings us close to God, and shows us what love truly is. It isn't circumstantial. It doesn't show up just when we make all the right choices.
We have an opportunity every day to thank God for being by our side, even when we might think there's no way we could feel a true sense of belonging.

About this Plan

At the end of each year, we have the chance to reflect on everything that's happened and all of the people around us. There’s so much we can be thankful for every year — even if things didn’t work exactly how we planned. God has given us so much, and the birth of Jesus is a great way to focus on all of the gifts we’ve received this year.
