Your Destiny Is Intact

Sometimes, your carefully planned lives get interrupted, and the journey toward destiny gets disrupted by unexpected setbacks. At such times, it seems the winds of life keep blowing you farther away from your childhood dreams, and circumstances keep preventing you from fully pursuing your passions.

For instance, imagine the frustration of having to take up an unfulfilling job, or being overwhelmed with the demands of multiple jobs, to sustain your family. Imagine the pain of being forsaken by family, or being betrayed by a fiancé or spouse you have dreamt of a beautiful future with...Imagine the pain of having one’s education disrupted by the loss of a parent or sponsor...

During times like these, it is easy to get frustrated to the point of giving up on hope, destiny, and God. However, it is not the time to quit. You must understand that although life's road is full of bumps and potholes, God remains unchanging.

If you are in such a situation today, and you are on the brink of caving in due to shattered hopes or delays, please note that you are not alone. Here are three things I'd like you to understand:

1. God is sovereign. He has everything in control, and that includes the disruptions and setbacks you might be experiencing right now. Therefore, no matter how dashed your hope is, you can rest assured that your destiny remains intact if you would entrust it to God!

2. God knows about your secret struggles. He sees what you are going through and feels your pains. And beyond that, He is going to do something about it, if you ask Him...

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities... Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4.15-16 (KJV)

3. God can turn it all around for your good. As long as you love God and obey His words, He will cause your current life events to push you further towards His purpose for your life eventually.

We know that in all things God works for good with those who love him, those whom he has called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (GNT)

Seasons change in life, but God remains unchanging. Every experience in our journey through life contributes to our destiny.

In all, please hold on to God and resist every temptation to give up on faith, to stop dreaming, or to opt out of life. Remember that no matter how long the night is, daytime is bound to come.

Dear Lord,

I thank You because despite life's many stop-overs, my destiny cannot be delayed, and despite life's potholes, MY DESTINY REMAINS INTACT in Your loving hands. I am certain that You will work everything together for my good because I love You and do Your will in every circumstance. And as You are never rushing yet never late, You will make all things beautiful for me in Your time. In Jesus' name. Amen.
