OUTCRY: For Church LeadersSample

Remember Not to Judge
Outside of relationship it’s easy to judge.
As a church leader, it’s easy to see other leaders or nationally-known speakers and judge their motives. We can engage in a “holy evaluation” of pastors or worship leaders in order to find out whether they have a “rock star” mentality, or pride issues.
As influence grows, so does the watchful eye of those eager to critique.
But, ultimately, this kind of accountability is not yours to take up. It lies with God and those who have relationship with them.
At OUTCRY, I get to see these kind of leaders up close for long periods of time. And, yes, they all have imperfections, but the vast majority of them are far more approachable and down-to-earth than you’d imagine. They are far more complicated than the soundbites people use to write condemning blogs or social media posts.
The Apostle Paul even went as far as to say other’s intentions in preaching Christ didn't even matter to him. As long as they were preaching Christ.
Ultimately, if you are judging other church leaders outside of relationship, you are being distracted from the beautiful ministry right in front of you. Don’t waste your valuable time today trying to discern the thoughts and intentions of others.
