Where There's Smoke There's FireSample
In Hebrews 12:28-29, we find a striking comparison: God Himself is depicted as a consuming fire. This imagery speaks of His immense power and transformative presence. Just as fire brings light to darkness, His presence illuminates the corners of our lives that need light.
Consider His presence as a warming force. Just like fire can thaw the coldest places, His presence can rekindle life where it seems to have faded. It's like being touched by a gentle, reviving warmth.
Furthermore, His presence isn't contained; it spreads like wildfire. It can touch multiple areas of your life and reach out to others. It's like how a fire's influence spreads, touching everything in its path.
And yes, His consuming presence can also be like a controlled burn, clearing away what no longer serves a purpose. It's a transformational process, much like how a controlled fire removes the old, making way for the new. In all these aspects, His presence is a force to be embraced, drawing us closer to the core of His power and love.

About this Plan
The age-old adage of “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” rings true with God’s presence: if it’s visible, the signs are present. In this 28-day reading plan, we see how God’s presence is symbolized by fire and the “smoke” that should show in our lives because of it. Note: This plan is based on the sermon series from the good people at Youth Pastor Co.
