Different Life: 2nd CommandmentSample

God’s name is the key to Jesus’s name. “Jesus” (or “Joshua,” which gets closer to the Hebrew; “Yeshua” in Aramaic) means “Yahweh saves.” God has shown us himself in Jesus, even by his very name. The Bible says he is given the name above every name and by his name all people can be saved. So call upon him. Revere him. Let the second commandment guide you in how you treat him. May the name be a delight to your lips, a well-spring of joy, a cry of hope and faith and an anchor of salvation.
About this Plan

Christians are different. They can’t help it. When you’re born again and filled with the Spirit, it changes you. This leads to different values about right and wrong, and a different lifestyle to match it. This series of 5-day plans uses the 10 Commandments (following the classic Augustinian ordering) as a vehicle for an alternative, Christ-like morality and Jesus-way of living.
