Bible Reading 101Sample

As we wrap up our plan, we are returning to our first chunk of verses from the book of Hebrews.
As you read it again and continue in your Bible reading journey, I want you to remember a few things:
1. Take it slow! As you learn to spend time in the Word, don’t pressure yourself to bite off more than you can chew! Oftentimes, 3-5 verses of Scripture is a great starting point! As you grow in your confidence, add 3-5 more verses, and before you know it, you’ll be a Bible-reading champ!
2. Ask questions! “What is God revealing to me?” As you read and study, asking this question will always bring you an answer! God is ready to reveal things to us as we read His Word; we just need to ask!
3. Underline, highlight, and take notes! This is a great way to remember what you’ve learned in your journey through Bible reading. Don’t underestimate the power of a simple underline or highlight! It’ll jog your memory when you go back to look at things you’ve already read.
4. Keep going!! If you get to a confusing part of the Bible, don’t give up! Making Bible reading a habit means not quitting even when it gets tough. Your persistence and perseverance will be rewarded.
You’ve got this! I’m rooting for you!
