Learning To Live Uncrushed
At this point, you might be feeling a long way down the road toward healing, restored joy, and feeling ready to conquer the world. That is awesome. I pray you’ll keep finding ways to honor and celebrate your loved one’s life, and keep dreaming about what’s next for you.
But for others, you may know that there will never be a big beautiful bow on the package, or a diploma stating that your grief journey is complete. The hole in your heart will always exist this side of eternity. There’s absolutely no shame if that describes you right now.
I encourage you to take time to reflect on exactly what you’ve been through and how it has affected your life and relationships so far. Great loss, for many of us, becomes a huge marker, the moment that separates life before and life after your dear one’s death.
I pray that as you keep moving forward on your journey, you’ll continue making space to sit quietly and write—the good, bad, the crazy, all of it—and allow the Lord to meet you exactly where you are. May His peace, comfort, and joy wash over you today.
Philippians 1: 6 “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
Closing Thought:
“Grief is not a sign of weakness or lack of faith, but the consequence of awesome love. And that’s okay.” - Mandy Smith
