Proclaim

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Phil. 4:8-9)

Prompt

“Whatever is true.”

What does it mean to think about whatever is true?

Our enemy is a liar. That’s just who he is. He lies to us constantly. He tells us our lives are over. He tells us we’re nothing without whatever he has to offer. He tells us we need that promotion, that like on social media, that next drink, that pair of shoes…

Lies. All of them. The grateful truth is this: all we need is Jesus.

That’s what it means to think about whatever is true. Do your thoughts come back to that fundamental truth? When you spiral into whatever has you spiraling, bring it back to Jesus. That’s who you need. He is ALL you need.

Rest in gratitude for that truth. Being thankful, Jesus energizes you and clarifies your truth.

What can you do to remind yourself of the truth of Jesus in the midst of the devil’s lies? Ask God to renew your mind with the truth of who you are.
