Through ExodusSample

The Dessert
Desserts are bare with extreme temperatures and hardly any life!!!! Traveling though a dessert maybe lonely and scary. You never know what dangers await you. There are seasons in our life when we feel we are in a dessert. They are those times we wish we were dead instead of living. There may be different reasons because we may want to die. Lack of love and understanding from those who are supposed to love us, abuse physical, verbal or emotional, chronic sickness, debt, when we don't measure up to the standards of people around us, suppression are to name a few.
In today’s passage we see the Israelites grumbling. Grumbling leads to discontentment. Discontentment leads to frustration of being alive. If we don’t check our thoughts here we may become candidates of suicide.
Today many Christians live in an era of entitlement. They believe God will give the biggest house, best car, high paying job etc…God proved He was God but he also tested them. God is never our genie as many Christians believe He is. He is the sovereign God who created us and knows our needs.
Grumbling doesn't help us appreciate God’s providence. God provided for them but they could not enjoy the miracle. Many a times in our life we miss out on God’s providence and miracles because we are grumbling.
Can we decide to stop grumbling and recognize God’s providence in our lives today!
