God's Redemption Story (Judges - 2 Samuel)Sample

Gideon - 4/5
What went through Gideon’s mind when God said he had too many men in his army? It didn’t make sense, but Gideon obediently dismissed more than half his men—and God said he still had too many. Then came the crazy battle plan involving torches and empty jars. Gideon doubted at every step, but he still obeyed God. As crazy as the plan seemed, God won. There was no way Gideon’s victory could be anything but the hand of God.
Like Gideon, we may experience doubts when God’s plan doesn’t make sense to us. What if it’s not supposed to? What if God’s plans, as illogical as they seem to you, are ultimately for the purpose of glorifying God? How would you view His plans differently if you saw them not just as a means to victory but as a means to make Him known to those around you?
