7-Day Mental Health Challenge

DAY 8 OF 8

Surprise Challenge!

In this surprise challenge, we encourage you to actively combat lies by seeking the truth of God's word.

The objective of this challenge is to help you develop a habit of relying on God's word for guidance in all aspects of life. While some teachings in the Bible are explicit, others require personal convictions based on biblical principles.

Regardless, it's crucial to seek the Holy Spirit's help in understanding God's word for accurate application, for your mental health, and to impact those around you.

We aim to present ourselves to God as approved workers, unashamed and skillful in handling the word of truth.

As you embark on this challenge, we invite you to affirm the prophetic words of Isaiah 11:2-5 as a personalized prayer:

"The Spirit of the Lord rests on me—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. I delight in obeying the Lord. I will not judge by appearance nor make decisions based on hearsay. I will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. In Jesus' name, Amen!"

Allow us to share an experience where three powerful truths overcame a lie. It was falsely claimed that mental disability would be an inevitable consequence of my (Glenda) previous mental state and medication usage. However, three scriptures provided the basis for countering this lie. Isaiah 53:5 reminded me that through Jesus' wounds, I’m healed. 1 Corinthians 2:16 assured me that, as a believer, I have the mind of Christ, enabling me to understand and think His thoughts toward me. Finally, Philippians 4:13 affirmed that my strength is derived from Christ, empowering me to overcome all obstacles. We desire to help you reach greater heights in the Kingdom of God, both in your current circumstances and wherever God may lead you!

Indeed, numerous scriptures have been and continue to be a source of encouragement and guidance in our lives. We leave you with the words of the Apostle Paul, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances," and let God bless your day!
