The Presence Of GodSample
God's Presence in Heaven
That which will make heaven heaven is the presence of God.
Do you know for sure that if you were to die today that you would go to heaven? And if you were to stand before God—and you will—and He were to ask you, “Why should I let you into my heaven?,” what would you say?
I will tell you what I would say: “Jesus died on the cross for my sins.” This is literally my only hope—not my good works, not my role as a husband, father, or minister. I have one hope: the death of Jesus on the cross. His blood paid my debt. His sinless life and sacrificial death satisfied God’s justice.
If this is not your hope, please pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I need You. I want You. I am sorry for my sins. Wash my sins away by Your blood. I welcome Your Holy Spirit into my life. As best as I know how, I give You my life. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer—and meant it in your heart, I will see you in heaven where we can enjoy the presence of the Lord forever and ever. May the triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit— abide with you now and ever more. Amen.
