Understanding the Subject of the Covenant

DAY 4 OF 31

GUARD AGAINST HANDLES FOR THE DEVIL

Our goal as Christians is to become kingdom covenant compliant. However, I need to let you understand that there are born-again people whose lives manifest negative ancestral covenant traits because they have certain behavioural patterns and certain practices.

The devil, like a lizard, does not enter your house unless there is a crack. The devil does not climb your tree to pluck the fruit of righteousness and redemption in your life unless there are handles for him to climb with. Many times, the handles are the behaviours that we have― like somebody who is stubborn and has his own will.

One day, I was talking to a brother who is quite stubborn. And the Lord told me that he worships at the temple of his own mind. Stubbornness is when you refuse to shift ground even when it is obvious that you are wrong. Many women are married to stubborn men. Everybody knows he is wrong, but he insists on having his way. That is what that devil in his ancestral line is going to use to climb into his life as a born-again man who is Holy Ghost filled.

Some people’s parents are divorced, and that devil is going to come into their lives and put a desire for something wrong inside them. I asked a brother why he is always proposing to sisters who will say no to him. I told him to settle down and find a sister at his level who would honour and respect him.

PRAYER: I decide today not to allow any handle for the devil to operate in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

About this Plan

Understanding the Subject of the Covenant

When individuals embrace the light and experience spiritual rebirth, a covenant is forged between us and God. The path of faith is not a solitary one; God is deeply invested in the journey, growth, and breakthrough of every believer because of the covenant. This devotional will explore reasons why understanding this covenant is pivotal for cultivating a stronger bond, akin to a father-child relationship, between you and God.
