Easter Week Reading Guide : Readings for Holy WeekSample

Palm Sunday - The Triumphal Entry
On the Sunday of Holy Week, Jesus entered into Jerusalem riding on a donkey’s colt. In doing so, he fulfilled Scripture and declared himself the city’s rightful king, coming in humility and peace. The crowds were ecstatic! But they probably did not expect what this King would do the very next day…nor that by the end of the week he would die the most shameful death in their cultural context.
