DAY 3 OF 3

Resurrection Sunday

Happy Resurrection Sunday! He is risen!

For thousands of years, believers have rejoiced and celebrated the resurrection of Jesus. Whether in isolated cells of persecution, homes filled with family and friends or church buildings across the earth, we have told the story of how the Light of the world, Jesus Christ, claimed victory over death, hell and the grave. He endured terrible affliction, immense heartache and bore the guilt of the world so that He could heal our bodies, break our chains and forgive our sins.

“On the third at break of dawn,
The son of heaven rose again,
O trampled death where is your sting,
The angels roar for Christ the King”

Today, we remember the greatest victory of all time! The grave where Jesus was laid to rest is now empty. He has been raised to life and returned to the right hand of the Father. Romans 4:25 tells us that, “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.” Jesus was brought back to life for the justification of a sinful people; His death was not in vain and was not the end.

He has known unimaginable suffering, has felt the sting of death and most importantly, He has triumphed as the King of Glory! We celebrate today with the knowledge that He reigns — high above all fear or anxiety, hatred or violence, sickness or death. In His last days on earth, Jesus said to His disciples, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” There is so much to rejoice about! Take heart, for He has overcome! We invite you to join us today in honouring and worshipping our risen Saviour King.

“O praise the name of the Lord our God,
O praise His name forevermore,
For endless days we will sing Your praise,
Oh Lord, oh Lord our God”

Day 2

About this Plan

At Easter

Embark on a 3-day devotional journey reflecting on Jesus Christ's sacrifice: from Good Friday's crucifixion to Holy Saturday's darkness and Sunday's resurrection. Inspired by songs from Hillsong Worship's EP "At Easter", this devotional will help us turn our eyes to Jesus, praising our risen Savior, the eternal King of Glory. May His grace transform us as we lift our voices in adoration.
