Confessions For God’s Deliverance

David is another great example of one who would combine prayer, meditation, and confession that would result in many deliverances for him.

My mind is brought back to the passage in scripture where God first uses David to defeat the giant Goliath. The shepherd, David, was a man of prayer, and I am certain he sang and prayed God's word while tending to the sheep. It was through his prophetic declarations and confessions that he gained victory for the Israelites against Goliath.

In this verse, David declares and confesses that God will deliver Goliath into his hands, and that he will give the carcasses of the Philistines' host to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth. All of the things he spoke came to pass as a result of his prophetic declaration and confession.

Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for allowing your holy angels to fight for me and grant me victory over all my enemies.

Meditation: During your meditation, allow the Lord to reveal to you the angels he has assigned to you.

Confession: I will overcome every obstacle that stands in my way. I have received heavenly assistance to give me the strength to prevail.
