Celebrating Your BaptismSample

Today, we will read about Jesus’ final meal with His disciples. Rather than being served, Jesus took an opportunity to wash His disciples’ feet in an act of humility. At this dinner, He knew that He was going to be betrayed by Judas, and this was the last meal before His crucifixion.
Jesus took a moment to give His followers one last bit of instruction about how to act after He is gone. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know you are my disciples if you love one another.”
This theme of love flows through John’s writings. Jesus told us not just to love our friends but our enemies as well. Who is someone in your life that is hard to love? What can you do today to share the love with them?
