Daily Bible Reading—May 2024, God’s Guiding Word: Spiritual RenewalSample

May 22
Introduction
Acts 3:1–10: Outside the Temple in Jerusalem, Peter and John encounter a lame man begging for money, and Peter heals him.
Today’s Key Verse: Acts 3:8b
He went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God.
Reflect
In biblical times, people with physical ailments were considered unclean and were not allowed to enter the Temple. How did the man react after he was healed? How did the people who recognized the man react? How does Peter’s healing of the man at the Beautiful Gate demonstrate the power of faith in Jesus? In what ways do you experience the power of faith?
Pray
Lord Jesus, continue to guide me each day so that my faith increases. Teach me to share your love, compassion, power, and hope with all people. In your holy name, I pray Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Acts 3:11–26: Peter speaks in the Temple about Jesus.
