WEEK 4, DAY 2—BE THE DIFFERENCE
As followers of Jesus, we are called to be different and to stand out! Because we have God on our side, we should be different from the world. This looks like being kind when others are rude, talking well when others are gossiping, working hard when others are lazy, and being encouraging when others are tearing down.
Being different is not always easy, and can often be uncomfortable, but it’s what God has called us to be! Being different means people will see something in you. They’ll see peace when others are anxious. They’ll see joy when others are down. They’ll see confidence when others are afraid. They’ll see kindness when others are toxic. Ultimately, when people know that you are a Christian and see that you are different, they’ll connect the dots and want what you have—JESUS!
How can I be different? Follow Jesus, and be unashamed about it! As you do life with Jesus, he will change you and make you different. As he does, don’t hide it—share it! When someone asks what you did on the weekend, tell them you went to youth or church! Be honest and allow people to see the difference in your life.
