In the ShadowsSample

At the end of every week, we'll give you a challenge—something to try that might be outside your regular routine. Each challenge is designed to help you develop one important spiritual habit. This week, it's...
SPEND TIME WITH OTHERS
The people in our lives can have a big impact on our faith—and we can have a big impact on other people's faith too. But that doesn't happen by accident. Today's challenge is going to help you connect with at least one other person in a way that helps you (or maybe even both of you) grow!
CHALLENGE
Choosing to let go of hypocrisy doesn't mean embracing an unhealthy friendship or influencing you to do things you believe are wrong. For this challenge, take time to evaluate the relationships in your life. In what ways do you see yourself being pulled in a direction you don't like? Consider what boundaries you might need to put in place to allow yourself space to pursue relationships that encourage you to be the person you desire to be.
These boundaries might be something only you or a trusted adult know about — you don't have to go and tell the person you're not friends anymore. But for every boundary you put in place, choose a positive action you can take to grow your faith.

About this Plan

As we grow and experience more life, we might find the shadows of doubt or questions creeping towards us. Rather than running from the shadows, we can look to God to cast some light on the situation. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at stories that draw us closer to God's light whenever we feel lost in the shadows.
