Finding Our Muchness and Inheriting Audacious BoldnessSample
You Can Do Hard Things
In the story of Moses' deliverance, we encounter Jochebed, a woman of remarkable faith and courage. Faced with the threat of her son's life, she made a bold decision—to build an ark, place her baby inside, and release him into the Nile. In letting go, she surrendered control and entrusted her precious child to God's care.
Jochebed's willingness to release her grip on what she held dear paved the way for God's purposes to be fulfilled in Moses' life. She couldn't have known the full extent of God's plan, but in her pain, she chose to humble herself and serve the greater good.
Throughout history, godly women have echoed Jochebed's example, embracing the hard task of letting go. It takes courage to entrust our dreams, ambitions, and loved ones into God's hands. It requires humility to relinquish our desires for recognition and success, choosing instead to serve others selflessly.
Living with open hands means releasing our grip on control and surrendering everything to God's sovereignty. It's a bold declaration of faith, trusting that He will keep and multiply whatever we entrust to Him.
And while letting go may seem daunting, it unleashes the power of the Spirit in our lives. It frees us from self-centered ambition and opens the door to God's transformative work.
So, my friend, take courage. You can do hard things. Let go of your fears, worries, and need for control. Trust in God's faithfulness and believe that nothing good entrusted to Him will ever be lost. Release it into His hands and watch as He works wonders in your life and in the lives of those around you. Let go, and let God.
