God won’t suddenly know you better. He created you and knows how many strands of hair are on your head. Instead, you will start to know Him better. You will be more confident it is His voice you are hearing and you will begin to recognize His hand moving in your life. 

God won’t suddenly pay more attention to your prayers. You are His child and He has never missed a word you pray to Him, but you will learn to trust He is there listening, regardless of how He chooses to answer you. 

All your troubles may not miraculously go away. Of course, our God is a miracle God and He can certainly deliver you from a great many things, but He may choose a different miracle. He may give you a peace that passes all understanding and a comfort that defies explanation. He may want to give you a glimpse at what He can do through your problems. He works all things together for good. 

Ultimately, although you might pray to move God and change His mind, what is likely to happen is that God will change you. You will no longer be merely texting your prayers in, but you will be walking with Him, hearing His voice and enjoying face to face encounters with a relational God.
