The Power of Vision
Vision helps to establish clear boundaries for us and for others. Vision helps us discover who we are and who we are not. Vision describes what God is calling us to and what He is not. Vision helps us prioritize our time, resources, and energy.
The opposite is also true. When people do not have a clear vision or revelation from God, they usually drift and stray in life, and possibly shipwreck. Hearing and seeing God’s vision for our lives encourages us to follow in His ways.
Much of Psalm 119 is devoted to this idea. The psalm begins, Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart! When we choose to follow God’s ways and obey His commands, we experience personal blessing, yet we also open ourselves up to future direction and more revelation. Seeking God with your whole heart means seeing more of who He is and His plans and vision for your life! Are you listening for God’s vision for your life? What steps can you take toward God’s vision for your life?
As you engage with God’s Word:
● What is God saying to me?
● What does it mean to me?
● How can I apply what God is teaching me?
● How can I be specific in prayer today?
After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.

About this Plan

You’ve probably heard the saying, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” God designed our minds to work this way and He often uses different types of imagery to communicate to us! In this six-day plan, we’ll look at examples from Scripture of God speaking to His people in visions to discover how we can hear God’s voice and messages in our own lives.
