Day 5: The Conditions of the Covenant - The Agreement
*Scripture:* Deuteronomy 28:1 (KJV)
"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth."
*Devotion:*
God’s covenant includes specific conditions—agreements that we must uphold. Obedience to God’s commandments is essential for experiencing the blessings of the covenant. It’s a partnership that requires our active participation. In other words, we must come into agreement with God’s plan and instructions for our lives in order for us to uphold our end of the covenant.
*Prayer:*
Lord, help me to live in obedience to Your Word. Strengthen me to keep the covenant agreement, knowing that Your blessings follow my faithfulness. Father, when I find myself out of accord with our covenant, please realign me with your will. Amen.
