Nothing + God

Before the beginning of time, what existed?

Molecules?

Sting rays?

Pepperoni pizza?

Nope, none of those things existed. Only God. But Genesis 1 tells us what happens when we take nothing and add God. Nothing + God = Creation. This is the very first God Math equation that ever existed.

Do you know what God Math is?

It’s kind of the opposite of regular math. For example, in regular math, 5 + 2 always equals 7. But with God Math, 5 loaves and 2 fish makes enough food to feed thousands of hungry people. God Math is really fun because you never quite know what’s going to pop out on the other side of the equation. It’s creative and unexpected and unbelievably amazing because that’s exactly what God is: creative and unexpected and unbelievably amazing. Only God can take absolute Nothingness and turn it into the incredible universe we have today.

Over the next 10 days, we’re going to explore some more incredibly wild God Math, and I’ll let you come up with some of your own God Math equations! I can’t wait to get started.
