Prayers for Success

Spirit of the living God, we pray for our children as they navigate through this new year. May they be successful, in the name of Jesus. We pray for wisdom like Solomon. We declare:

______________, may God give you wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore. May your wisdom excel “the wisdom of all your mates in the name of our Savior, Jesus (1 Kings 4:29).

• Math: For all students taking math. (We see mathematics throughout the Bible, especially in situations involving measurements, numbers, and calculations.)
  • Father, we pray that you would strengthen our children's knowledge in mathematics. In Genesis 6:15-16, you gave Noah instructions on how to build the ark. You used measurements, numbers, and calculations. Noah was able to build the ark as instructed because he understood the mathematical equations. Lord, we pray that our children will understand every equation, assignment, and problem they are instructed to solve.
  • Father, just as you gave Solomon wisdom to understand the dimensions of the temple (1 Kings 6:2-3), we pray that our children will understand every assignment given to them, in the name of Jesus.
• Science: For all students taking science classes.(Note: When we explore the creation of the Universe, we see God displaying His awesome creativity through science. Creation, the pursuit of knowledge, and the understanding of the natural world can be seen through this subject and beyond).
  • Father, we see your creative ability come to life in Genesis 1. We are in awe of all you are and all you do. With your creativity, you formed the world. It is by your hands that you fashioned the universe. Lord, we ask for scientific knowledge, based on your creative ability for our children. May they understand how all things were created and formed. Give them understanding to comprehend all assignments and tasks given to them. May they always ace their quizzes, tests, homework, and projects. It will not be difficult for them in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Lord, we remember those who are pursuing university degrees. Remember them, oh Lord. We ask for guidance as they prepare to walk through life and walk in their calling. May they not pursue careers that do not align with their destiny. May your thoughts be their thoughts and your ways be their ways. May they choose the right careers and may they not be confused as they work towards their future.
