As we embark on this journey titled “Thankful,” we are reminded of the profound power of gratitude in our daily lives as kingdom leaders. The path we walk is not always smooth; we will encounter challenges, setbacks, and trials. However, amidst these struggles, we are given a beautiful promise: “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Every situation we face—whether it feels like a mountain or a valley—calls us to a heart posture of prayer, praise, and thankfulness. It’s easy to pray fervently when we seek change or deliverance. Yet, how often do we remember to bring that same fervor to our gratitude when God answers our prayers?

Today, let’s commit to flipping the script. Just as we earnestly seek God’s intervention in our lives, let us also pour out our thanks with even greater intensity for His faithfulness and provision. A heart filled with gratitude creates space for God to move—both in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

As leaders, we have the unique opportunity to cultivate an atmosphere of thankfulness within our teams. Let’s make it a daily practice to rejoice, pray, and give thanks together. This can be as simple as starting meetings with a moment of gratitude or sharing testimonies of God’s goodness.

1. What challenges are you currently facing that need prayer?

2. How has God moved in your life recently? What can you thank Him for today?

3. In what ways can you incorporate gratitude into your leadership style and team dynamics?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder that in all circumstances, I am called to rejoice, pray, and give thanks. Help me to maintain a grateful heart, especially in challenging times. May my prayers be fervent, and may my gratitude overflow. Guide me in leading my team with a spirit of praise and thankfulness, creating an environment where we can all thrive in Your presence. Amen.
