Guilt and shame can keep us thinking about the past. But Jesus shut the door on the past when He forgave us!

THINK

When you think about things that have happened in the past, how do you feel?

  • It's gone; it's history!
  • My past still affects me.
  • My past only has good memories.
  • I feel like I live in the past.
  • I'm always looking ahead.

DO

Take a moment, close your eyes, and ask God to close the doors to your past, to the things that make you feel sad or worried.

How do you feel after doing that?

  • I feel great.
  • I feel a little better.
  • I don't feel any different.
  • Something else.

PRAY

Help me look towards the future instead of focusing on mistakes I’ve made in the past. Thank You that You love and forgive me.
