How to Redeem Your Time

DAY 7 OF 9

Singing with our heart to the Lord

Singing with your heart is something much deeper than singing with your voice alone. Today, there is a sort of spiritual “autotune” through which all the notes of the heart are always in tune, even if they come from insincere or superficial hearts. This praise is not pleasing to God and does not produce any real benefit to the heart of the one who sings; it is a praise produced without true love.

In the ear of God, who knows the human heart well, every manipulated note of the heart is well recognized. Before Him, we want to be sincere, to sing with the heart, even when it is wounded, sad, painful, and disappointed. The Lord Jesus came to bind and heal every heart, to give true peace and true joy, which are not disturbed by external events.

In a certain sense, singing is praying in music. The Psalms of the Word of God are true hymns, which express all the variety of human feelings and lead to the search for God, to praise, and adoration. This means that the Holy Spirit, who inspired them, considers it very important that the children of God sing. Furthermore, being a profound expert on the human soul, he knows that singing to God is always a blessing.

If it is true that there cannot be a worship of the Lord without the centrality of the Word (whether preached, read, or lived), it is equally true that there must be praise and singing, even in the simplest way, with few instruments, or even with just the voice. The important thing is that we sing with the heart, or rather in unison with one heart!

The time in which we sing to God is always time redeemed and well spent; it elevates the soul and opens the heart; even if you are out of tune like a bell, sing to the Lord, and you will receive a blessing.

About this Plan

How to Redeem Your Time

How many times have we wanted to go back in time to remedy the mistakes made or to avoid unpleasant situations? Unfortunately, this desire remains only a dream because we cannot travel in time. But in Christ, we have the possibility to use the present time in the best way, recovering through faith every moment of our life and spending it in the abundance of God's blessing. How is this possible?
