When Your World Ends

DAY 7 OF 7

Walk in Creativity

Walking is one of the best forms of physical exercise. As podiatrists can tell you, it’s best to wear a good pair of shoes, but not necessary. Children around the world take their first steps barefoot.

Walking with the Lord is also good spiritual exercise. Scripture tells us to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8), and walk in his ways (Deuteronomy 8:6). We also are to walk in good works that God has prepared for us.

As we meditated on Day 1, creativity is good work. As such, we must walk in creativity as we reimagine our lives. The topics covered this week help us to do just that:

· Day 1 – Creativity is Good

· Day 2 – Making a Lasting Impact

· Day 3 – A Spirit of Excellence

· Day 4 – Growth Begins in Jesus

· Day 5 – Just a Taste

· Day 6 – Who Knew?

· Day 7 – Walking in Creativity

Pick ways to use your creativity to reimagine your life and walk in them!

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for all your workmanship, especially us. Thank you for creating us for good works, especially creativity. May we walk with you, Lord, so that our every creative thought, word, and deed would be a good work and bring you glory. May we faithfully and humbly exercise our creativity as we walk in your ways. When the enemy tells us we’re inadequate or incapable, remind us that we can do all things through Christ Jesus. In the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

For Further Reflection:

How can you walk in your creativity today? To walk together, two must agree (Amos 3:3); in what ways do you agree with God about your creativity? Name something God revealed to you through this week’s devotions on creativity.

Activity:

Carve out some time in your schedule going forward to make reimagining your life a regular part of your life. Pick some creative activities from this week or something new to practice your creativity regularly going forward.

Thought for the Day:

Walk in your creativity.

Day 6

About this Plan

When Your World Ends

Reimagining your life requires creativity. After all, you need your imagination to produce ideas that lead to something new. If you can’t see life differently, you’re stuck. That’s a stumbling block. So, I created this devotional to help you revitalize your creativity by tapping into five of God’s characteristics—eternal, majestic, creative, omnipotent, and omniscient. See how God operates. Then, begin dreaming again.
