Blessing for Courage Greater than Your Fears

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)

Noli timere. Be not afraid.

Though the darkness threatens to blot out the true Light, you need never fear.

May you grasp tightly to your ever-present Lord who hems you in before and behind.

May you know the comfort of His arms around you, His hand in yours, His peace permeating the very air you breathe.

May you cling to the truth that God knew you in the womb and will usher you forth on that final journey home.

When these truths feel elusive and you are prone to panic, may discouragement turn into delight, cringing into courage.

May you be blessed with a deliverance from fear, because you are never alone.
