7 Days to Discovering the Gift of YouSample

A Different Life is Possible
I’d met a friend for lunch, and as we ate our salmon salads, she shared with me how stuck she felt in her life. My friend (I’ll call her Jen) was in her mid-thirties, and her life just hadn’t unfolded the way she’d hoped it might. A decade earlier she’d imagined that she’d be married and a stay-at-home mom raising three kids. None of that had yet happened for Jen, and she was disappointed with the life she was living.
Listen, I’m not going to lie. I kind of love having these conversations with friends and family—and now you!—because I have hope that when our lives aren’t what we imagined, we are not stuck forever. I peppered Jen with questions, and by the time we left the restaurant, Jen had a bit more hope. Not only that, but we’d also crafted a specific plan of action that Jen would execute.
Over the next 7 days together, I’m inviting you to discover the gift of you. Because God has created you for life that is life, no matter what your reality looks like today, you can do this.
At this moment, how are you feeling about this journey to embrace the gift of you?
God, You made me, You know me, and You love me. Show me how to be a faithful steward of this one amazing life You’ve given me. Amen.
