Your Story, God’s Glory

A season of your life is not the whole story; it is just a chapter. He is not done writing your story, and he is not done working in your life.

I know from personal experience that we may face trials in our lives and feel like we are at the end of the road. Since getting diagnosed with an incurable illness, I hit a point I thought was the end of the road. I thought there was no hope in my life after losing so much. But God! He met me in my pain, rescued me, and showed me His presence is enough.

Don’t discard your testimony. No matter how messy or broken it is, God doesn’t see it as a waste. It is an opportunity for God to revive it and restore your life. He can mold broken pieces into a beautiful story. There is a story being written through your life. Never doubt that! Sometimes, we must take a step back to realize our lives are just a piece of a much bigger picture. We are part of a bigger story that is about glorifying our King. He is using your story to impact others.

When life feels overwhelming, you may need to take a step back and take in the whole picture, not just the rough patches. You are always going to battle something in life. It may last a short period, or it may linger on. Everyone has experienced pain, but what brings the story together is the hope and peace found in God to create something beautiful out of suffering and mistakes. Placing the pain in God’s hands and having His peace replace it helps you experience the bigger picture that God has in store for your life. Being willing doesn’t mean you want to endure something; it simply means you are ready for the Lord to work through you. Suffering isn’t in vain when our perspective is gazed upon the treasures of heaven. And nothing is wasted. By placing it in the hands of our Savior and giving Him every pain, every question, every part of our lives, we are inviting Him into those spaces to comfort and bring hope. He can work everything out for your good and His glory.

I encourage you, even through the aches and pains of life we all face, that God can bring something beautiful out of it. There are no setbacks in God’s plan for your life. There are setups for something bigger that He is working on. But it starts with a yes in our hearts. It starts with a leap of faith to open ourselves up to sharing our suffering while showing the goodness of God at work in the midst of it.
