In Repair

DAY 2 OF 28

Reading the Bible can feel intimidating sometimes. But one simple way of studying Scripture is called S.O.A.P. It stands for "Scripture," "Observation," "Application," and "Prayer." We'll show you how—it's easy!

S: Scripture

If you haven't already, read today's passage of Scripture. Then summarize it in your own words.

O: Observation

Read Ephesians 2:4–5 again.

  • How would you define grace based on this passage?
  • What does it teach us about Jesus' ability to repair our relationship with God?
  • What promise does it give?

A: Application

What's a part of your life you've struggled to repair in your own strength?

How does this passage reshape your view of how to have a changed life?

What do you think could change how you see your relationship with God if you trusted in God's grace and mercy?

P: Prayer

Spend some time in prayer, inviting God to show you parts of your life that need God's help in repairing. Ask for wisdom about what steps to take and people who could help. Then say thank you for God's mercy, that is always available to us.

About this Plan

In Repair

It’s easy to see brokenness in our lives and the world, leaving us feeling hopeless. But with Jesus, broken things don’t have to stay broken. In this 4-week devotional from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore how making things right starts with our relationship with God and leads us to bring healing to others and the world around us.
