The Book of Luke
Being kind to people we like is easy work. But have you ever tried to be kind to someone who annoys you? What about someone who ignores you or is wildly different from you? Jesus made it clear that He came for everyone: the sick, the outcasts, the hurting, the lonely. If we want to follow His example, we have to love people the same way He does, even when it’s hard. We have to remember just how lost, how sick in our sin, we would be if we never chose to follow Jesus. When we do, we can have hope that others will see they need healing too.
Reflection:
Who is someone you need to show kindness to today?
Prayer:
“God, You didn’t just come to earth for the people I like—You came to save EVERYONE! Please help me to see others the way You do, loving them no matter who they are or where they’re from. I want to be more like You today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
