Restoring Your Soul - Living a Limitless Life

DAY 6 OF 30

Who You Really Are

Have you ever stopped to consider that your worth is not rooted in what you do, what you achieve, or how others see you? Your value is not something you have to earn. It is something that God has already firmly established and placed within you. You are treasured simply because you are His child.

Do you relate to that truth, or is your self-esteem built on shaky ground? Perhaps you believe lies you have been told, either through harsh words spoken over you or the silent messages that you received about your worth. Do you find yourself striving for perfection, hoping that what you accomplish will earn you recognition? Or perhaps you are seeking the approval of others by pouring out your time, energy, and finances.

Scripture reminds us of our intrinsic worth in the Old and New Testaments:

Psalm 139:13-14: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

John 1:12: “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

While we often define ourselves by our failures, successes, or what others say, our self-esteem was never meant to rest on the shifting sands of people's opinions, our own performance, or the weight of unrealistic expectations.

God valued us before anyone else even knew we existed. Our true identity is meant to be anchored in the unshakable truth that God Himself chose us, loves us, and calls us His own. We are far more valuable than most of us ever realize.

I Invite You to Ask Yourself:

  1. Am I harder on myself than I would ever be on a friend?
  2. When I fail, do I see it as final—or as an opportunity to grow?
  3. What labels have I allowed others (or myself) to place on me?
  4. How do those labels line up with God’s truth about me?

I Invite You to Pray:

Father, help me to become aware daily that my worth is not in what others say or what I do, but in who You say I am. I invite your Spirit to speak Truth into my spirit so that I can embrace the reality that my identity is rooted in You alone. Plant Your Word firmly within my heart and my mind, to heal the wounds where the lies that I have believed about myself are lodged. Thank You for showing me the Truth about who I am through the Scriptures. I choose to personalize them and believe they are written about me. In Jesus' Name!

About this Plan

Restoring Your Soul - Living a Limitless Life

Do you identify with "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak?" If so, you're not alone. This 30-day Bible reading plan focuses on how to partner with God to restore our souls. We can renew our minds, submit our wills (submit isn't as scary a word as you might think), and heal our emotions. I invite you to join me in learning to walk more fully in the Spirit, instead of being governed by our flesh. Your limitless life awaits!
