When Anger Strikes

DAY 2 OF 3

When It Feels Unfair

Verse: “Better a patient person than a warrior.” – Proverbs 16:32 (NIV).

As a child, I had trouble learning and paying attention. Many times I felt behind compared to my classmates. Some even took advantage of my kindness, and that made me upset, as if a lion were roaring inside me. But God taught me that true strength is not yelling or fighting back, but being patient and trusting that He takes care of me.

Biblical explanation:
When Moses became angry with the people, he disobeyed God by striking the rock instead of speaking to it. He let irritation guide his action, and that brought consequences. When we let anger rule us, we risk losing important blessings.

Therapeutic practice:
When you feel angry because something seems unfair, hug a pillow tightly for 10 seconds and then release it saying: “I am stronger than my anger.”

Prayer:
“God, help me control my heart when things seem unfair. Amen.”

About this Plan

When Anger Strikes

We all feel anger, and children and pre-teens are no different. I know this from my own childhood, facing bullying, struggles, and feeling different. Many times I cried and didn’t know how to react. Today, as a psychologist, mentor, and servant of Christ, I’ve learned that anger can be transformed when surrendered to God. In this plan, you’ll discover peace through His Word.
