Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year TwoSample

You are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14 NKJV).
What should you do when God says, “Tag, you’re it”?
That’s exactly what God had done with Abraham. He was called out from a heathen people because God was going to start a great nation with him. In Genesis 12:3, we see that there would be a connection from the line of Abraham to the Lord Jesus Christ, as referred to in Galatians 3:8.
Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, said to His disciples, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14 NKJV).In the midst of a dark world, walk in the light. You have been tagged and are now “it”. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16 NKJV).
Employment Point: Reflect God’s light because He says, “Tag you’re it.”
About this Plan

Devotions on F.I.R.E. journeys through the Bible in one year. Each day includes a devotion based on Dr. Burge’s F.I.R.E. method of Bible Study. F.I.R.E. stands for Familiarity, Interpretation, Relationship, and Employment. The F.I.R.E. method and the daily devotions help readers remember and apply what they read as they fuel the fire in their hearts for God’s Word—adapted from the book Devotions on F.I.R.E. Year Two, by Dr. Ken J. Burge, Sr.
