A Radical Call to Holiness to Welcome His Glory - Jean-Luc TrachselSample

A Radical Call to Holiness to Welcome His Glory
As they were about to enter the Promised Land, God gave Israel a clear instruction: “Be holy”. Before crossing the Jordan River, before the walls of Jericho fell, the priority was not military strategy, but inner purification. The greatest obstacle was not the external enemy, but the spiritual condition of the people.
Sanctification is much more than a religious word. It is a radical setting apart for God. It is not just about avoiding evil, but about surrendering ourselves completely to the Lord. It is accepting that the Holy Spirit purifies our thoughts, words, attitudes, and motivations. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." (Matthew 5:8 NKJV). Without holiness, it is impossible to see His glory.
Lately, the Lord has spoken to me forcefully about the need to set myself apart. This led me to enter into a fast of water and liquids. It is not a human achievement, but a response of love. I am discovering that God acts like a vine dresser who prunes the vine (John 15:2): He cuts away what is useless in order to produce more fruit. This process is not always pleasant, but it prepares the heart to welcome His Presence.
Charles Finney, father of the great American revivals, said, “A revival is nothing more than a new obedience to God.” Fire does not fall on the altar of compromise, but on that of consecration. Every revival in history has been marked by sanctified hearts, ready to give up everything to welcome the fire of God.
Today, the Lord calls us to the same radicalism. Before visible breakthroughs, there is always invisible purification. If we agree to sanctify ourselves, God will cause His wonders to burst forth in our midst.
Declaration of Faith:
I choose holiness as my way of life. I believe that God is preparing me to bear His glory. I proclaim that tomorrow, the Lord will do wonderful things in my life and in my generation.
Prayer:
Lord, purify my heart and sanctify my entire life. Break every compromise that distances me from You. Make me obedient to Your Spirit and sensitive to Your fire. Prepare me to bear the weight of Your Presence and reflect Your light in this world.
