One of the best ways to get to know someone is by spending time together and listening to what they say. By taking in their words, you can learn a lot about what is important to them. This week, as we hear Jesus’ teaching, let his words show you more of his heart—what is important to him.
The Sermon on the Mount begins with Jesus describing the types of people who are included in God’s kingdom. Try to put yourself in the audience, eager to hear from this incredible teacher.
Read Matthew 5:3-12.

- Is there one of these blessings that resonates with you today? Why?
Prayer: Jesus, open my ears to your words and open my eyes to see how you are present in my life and blessing me today.
