Surrounded: Living With Confidence in God’s ProtectionSample

Reading: Ephesians 6:10–18
Devotional:
We’re reminded that we’re in a constant spiritual battle, but our weapons are not of this world. The armor of God isn’t symbolic, it’s essential.
The enemy doesn’t always attack with the obvious. Sometimes it’s distraction, discouragement, or deception. That’s why discernment matters, we must recognize the difference between what’s spiritual and what’s circumstantial.
Put on the full armor of God daily: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word, and prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see clearly, to spot traps, reject lies, and stand firm in truth.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for equipping me with everything I need to stand firm. Help me to be alert and discerning. Guard my heart with truth, clothe me in righteousness, and keep my faith strong. Holy Spirit, make me aware of the spiritual battles around me and teach me how to walk in victory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Application:
Pray through the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10–18) each morning this week. Ask the Holy Spirit to highlight one area where your defenses might be weak, and strengthen it through Scripture and prayer.
