Love God Greatly - AdventSample

God didn’t command us to love him above all else, and then take off for heaven and leave us high and dry. No! He has loved us well by giving us the gift of His Word, to help guide and protect us as we grow in our knowledge of Him. His Word lights our path and guides our steps, and his commands protect us from harm and lead us on a joy-filled path. As we spend time in God’s Word this Christmas, let’s set our hearts on pursuing a greater understanding of who Jesus is and what He has done for us. Let’s let God’s words transform us and prompt us to love and worship Him in fresh, new ways. Thank you, God, for giving us your Word to light our paths and to help keep us focused on You this season. Help us to value and spend time in Your Word daily, so that we will grow in Your love.
