30 Little Things: The Book of GenesisSample

Our Genesis.

A lot of times we go through life thinking, why is life so complicated? We walk around beating ourselves for not understanding our circumstances and our limitations. Well, it's not, really. It's not complicated at all when we come back to where it all started. 'In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth', said Genesis 1:1. It won't be so complicated if only we are willing to life our eyes to God our Creator and submit to His control because He is our core. The only way that life will ever make sense is when we realize that it is all about God.

I don't believe it is a coincidence that the first book in the Bible was titled 'Genesis'. If we look it up in the dictionary, we can see that the meaning of the word 'Genesis' is the origin of something. It explains where that something begins, where life, where us and everything that we have in this world right now were created. I believe that God put 'Genesis' in the beginning of His Word to remind us that in the beginning, is God. He is our beginning, our past, our present, our future, our end, our center, our everything. Every being of us comes from Him and that He alone is more than enough.

He is our Genesis.
