THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit came to His followers on a day called “Pentecost."" On that day 120 believers were gathered in an Upper Room praying when what looked like fire appeared over their heads, and they began to speak in different languages as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. The situation was chaotic and confusing and a crowd ran to see all the commotion. The crowd didn't understand what was happening and accused the disciples of being drunk, but Peter, a disciple, stood and preached a sermon that saw 3,000 people come to Jesus in that day. The disciples now had the Holy Spirit and the power that comes with Him to fulfill the will of God. After you have been baptized in water you must also be baptized in the Holy Spirit and be filled with His Spirit. Gods Spirit used to reside in the Temple in Jerusalem, but now His Holy Spirit dwells within the heart of men who have accepted Him. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and when you receive Him you receive “power from on high."
