By nature the heart of fallen man is very far from being "tender" toward God and His children. No, sad to say, it is the very opposite: so far as the Lord is concerned, the heart of every descendant of Adam is hard, callous, stubborn and defiant. Before it can become tender, a miracle of grace must occur.
