What Would Jesus Undo … In Me?
I just finished editing the first four days of this Bible Plan. It wasn’t easy.
To be clear, it wasn’t the editing that was hard. You heard from gifted and honest writers. Reading through this Bible Plan was hard because every day, every Scripture feels like it was written for me. Can you relate?
You know when you feel like you need to stand up and start making progress in so many places that you just stay seated wondering how to get it all done?
Day 1: Indifference … sometimes, well, maybe a lot.
Day 2: Hollow Worship … yup.
Day 3: Hypocrisy … check!
Day 4: Spiritual Pride … ouch. Double check.
What do you do when your faith wants a Dr. visit and a prescription for “all of the things”? You start by reading Luke 5:31 to remember Jesus came for the sick.
You do what this Bible Plan suggests, and you ask, “What would Jesus undo in me?” And you listen for His voice through the Holy Spirit, Scripture, godly teaching, and wise counsel.
As I listen, I think Jesus is helping me to undo overlooking the Gospel.
The Gospel literally means good news. It’s God’s best news that He sent His Son, Jesus, to save you and me from anything that gets between us and Him. No matter how long you’ve heard it, the Gospel is never old news. It’s always good news.
When indifference keeps me from taking action or making change, it’s the Gospel that invigorates and empowers me to walk ahead.
When I confuse hollow worship with lived-out worship … that’s my chance to get on my knees in front of Jesus in humble gratitude for His scandalously generous Gospel.
When hypocrisy sneaks into my parenting … that’s an opportunity to show my kids how no one, not even daddy, outgrows the Gospel.
When spiritual pride would rather flex intellectual muscle or biblical knowledge, I can step aside and confess my need for the Gospel.

Pray: Jesus, because of You, I’m done overlooking the Gospel.
