Holidays With Jesus: ChristmasMuestra

Warm beverages around the holidays have a way of making the heart happy! 

Hot chocolate...hot apple cider...holiday flavored coffees...spiced hot tea...they just warm the soul.

Something my Mom and Nana taught me to love and enjoy is Afternoon Tea! 

I usually enjoy hot tea most afternoons, but I also love hot tea in the morning or at night, too!

There’s something so cozy about making a good cup of hot tea, and then spending time with Jesus! It’s my favorite part of the day!

As I drink my tea, I have the best conversations with Jesus. I ask Him to share His heart with me, I share my heart with Him, and we talk about life, family, friends, my grief ministry, goals, dreams, joys, struggles, health, memories, ideas to blog about, grief events, spiritual goals...everything!

I treasure this special time of day so much! It is a daily reminder to slow down, relax with Jesus, and “be still,” as I enjoy my time with Him.

I also love traditional afternoon tea with family or friends...complete with hot teas, gluten-free finger sandwiches, scones, Devonshire cream, fruit curds, mini desserts, and baked goods.

The Christmas season is the perfect time to spend with Jesus as you enjoy Him and some hot tea. 

It is also a great time to host a Christmas themed Afternoon Tea (or coffee) with family and/or friends. You could host an Afternoon Tea for just one family member or friend, or a few (or many) special family members and friends.

As you host a holiday tea party, or enjoy one with just Jesus and you, it’s a great time to reflect on all of the warm, cherished memories of the past year and Christmases past.

Warm your heart, spirit, and soul with Jesus this season, and include family and friends if you wish, too!

Prayer: “Jesus, oh how You warm my heart and soul! Thank You for always being my most treasured Friend, and allowing me to have full access to Your heart! I give You full access to my heart, too...always! Lord, warmth is so important whether it’s emotional, spiritual, or physical. If any of my family or friends are in need of some Christmas warmth, please place them on my heart and show me the best way You can warm their heart through me! I love and adore You, Lord! In Your most precious name I pray, Amen!”

Activity #1: host a Christmas holiday tea for family and/or friends...or just enjoy a special tea party with Jesus!
