DAY 4

Be Prepared.

A lot of motorcycle riders in Texas don’t wear helmets. Don’t worry—I’m not one of them! I know I’m not invincible so I prepare for the slide and not the ride. The metal bar falling on my head was instant confirmation that wearing a helmet is a good choice. Riding motorcycles can be dangerous so these common-sense preparations are necessary. Ironically, the protective gear that I wear doesn’t make me feel restricted; rather, it enables me to enjoy riding more.

The same is true for the Christian faith. Many people believe becoming a Christian will restrict them from living a satisfying life. Nothing could be further from the truth! When you belong to Jesus, He’s the One who enables you to live life as it was intended, or in His words, “life to the full.” (John 10:10). More dangerous than riding motorcycles is living life without Him. My advice to you is to be prepared to meet Him at any moment because no one knows when that day will be.
