884 BC God’s prophet anoints Jehu to execute Jezebel, all male offspring of Ahab and believers in Baal. Jehu obeys, killing both Joram (Northern Kingdom) and Ahaziah (Southern Kingdom), and descendants of Ahab and Jezebel as prophesied in 1 Kings 21:18f. All key Baal-worshippers are also killed but Jehu himself still clings to idol worship.
